AspectsPortal™ platform beta release date announced.

TAMPA, FLORIDA, September 12, 2008 – SoftAspects, a leading provider of open source RIAs, Portals, SaaS integration solutions for vertical business applications, announced a beta release of AspectsPortal™ platform to be available in December 2008.

SoftAspects has been a leading provider in RIA components with WebGalileo Faces™ since it's introduction. But in the last 4 years industry pressures grow for more powerful tools. Not resting on it's laurels, SoftAspects is adopting significant improvements to it's tools. The AspectsPortal™ platform to serve as an open source infrastructure framework and appropriate run-time environment for vertical business applications deployable into centralized repository hosted either at data-centers or at client's location.

Clients and developers need to be able to install widgets, appliances and plug-ins easily, and though this is not new, the tools are now free via open source. This means that developers and end users have an extremely low cost path for migration and integration. RIA tools that are based on the Java standards mean new options exist for developers and end users for non proprietary environments. It means that SaaS products can now be available to end user/clients to function in their self hosted systems.

The information is available on the website but more technically we believe that integration of open source implementations of portals specifications JSR-168, JSR-286, services orchestration on top of ESB, BPM and RIA components is a critical element to the general direction of software evolution based on SaaS business model.

In addition to «out-of-the-box» applications available in the AspectsPortal™ platform, ISVs can rapidly develop their own vertical applications accessible via SaaS business model.
